Description
The high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) protein is a ubiquitously expressed protein with a variety of functions. It is found in the cytosol, nucleus and also secreted out of the cells. Extracellular HMGB1 acts as a cytokine mediator of inflammation and stimulates tumor cell proliferation in tumor microenvironment. HMGB1 sensitive ELISA kits comes with extra reagents to increase the serum availability of HMGB1 thereby increasing the sensitivity.
