Description

Ovarian cancer antigen CA125 is an antigenic determinant which is present as a high molecular weight (>200 kDa) mucin-like glycoprotein. CA125 provides a protective lubricating barrier against particles and infectious agents at mucosal surfaces. CA125 is common to most non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinomas.
