| Protein Background | Regulator of G-protein signaling 21 (RGS21) belongs to the RGS family and regulatory molecules which act as GTPase activating proteins for G alpha subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins. The RGS21 protein inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thus driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. |
