Description NAPA Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (1-295) and having a molecular mass of 35.3 kDa. NAPA is fused to 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by standard chromatography techniques.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Formulation NAPA protein solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl pH-7.5 and 10% glycerol.
Physical Appearence Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Protein Background NAPA is part of the SNAP (Soluble NSF Attachment Protein) family. SNAPs, acting together with SNAREs (SNAP receptors) and the N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein (NSF), are necessary for the fusion of transport vesicles to their objective membranes in synaptic transmission, intra-Golgi transport, endosome-to-endosome fusion and transcytotic vesicles-to-plasma membrane transport. NAPA is in charge of the binding of NSF and therefore the formation of a 20S fusion particle.
Purity Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Stability NAPA although stable 4°C for 4 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
