Description MECR Recombinant Human produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 341 amino acids (54-373 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 49.8 kDa. The MECR is fused to 21 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Expression host Escherichia Coli.
Formulation MECR Human solution containing 20mM Trsi pH-8, 0.2M NaCl, 5mM DTT & 20% glycerol.
Protein Background MECR catalyzes the reduction of trans-2-enoyl-CoA to acyl-CoA with chain length from C6 to C16 in an NADPH dependent manner with preference to medium chain length substrate. MECR protein takes part in the mitochondrial synthesis of fatty acids.
Purity Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
