| Biological Activity | Biological activity of Mouse Leptin is performed in two different mouse obesity models, ob/ob and NZO. Both strains of mice were treated via intraperitoneal injection once daily at a dose of 5ug Leptin/gram body weight for a period of 14 days. Significant effects on body weight , food consumption, and plasma glucose levels were observed to saline-treated controls. |

| Solubility | It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Leptin in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. |
| Stability | Lyophilized Leptin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Leptin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
