Description
Data Sheet
| Description | HBsAg subtype adw2 Recombinant produced in Saccharomyces cerevisae. is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain. HBsAg migrates on SDS-PAGE as a 24 kDa monomer band with small amounts of dimer (48 kDa) and trimer (72 kDa) forms. The HBsAg is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
| Expression host | Saccharomyces cerevisae. |
| Formulation | Sterile Filtered solution containing 0.05M phosphate buffer & 0.2M NaCl, pH-7.2. |
| Protein Background | HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen. |
| Purity | Greater than 98.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Reagent Appearance | Sterile Filtered clear solution. |
| Stability | HBsAg protein Should be stored at 4°C. |
