Description
Data Sheet
| Applications | Calmodulin antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 ~ 1,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:500. |
| Clone | PJ4D8AT. |
| Ig Subclass | Mouse IgG2a heavy chain and light chain. |
| Immunogen | Anti-human Calmodulin mAb is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human Calmodulin amino acids 1-149 purified from E. coli. |
| Protein Background | Calmodulin (CaM) is an intracellular receptor protein for Ca2+-ions. It activates the myosin light chain kinase which is the catalyst of myosin phosphorylation. CaM participates in the activation of enzymes such as cyclic nucleotide- dependent phosphodiesterase, calcineurin, ATPase, Myosin Light Chain Kinases, and CAM kinase. |
