Description
Data Sheet
| Antibody Properties | Reconstitute with of H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use. |
| Available Conjugates | Blocking and staining antibody. For staining, use 10ul/1,000,000 cells. Titer for blocking LPS binding should be determined by the investigator. |
| Description | Calretinin Mouse Recombinant full length protein expressed in E.coli, shows a 57 kDa band on SDS-PAGE.The Calretinin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
| Expression host | Escherichia Coli. |
| Formulation | Calretinin protein at 100ug/ml in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH7.5 and 10mM L-glutathione (reduced). |
| Immunological function | This antibody is also available unconjugated and conjugated to FITC. For staining with biotin or FITC-conjugated antibody use 5-10ul/1,000,000 cells. |
| Protein Background | Calretinin is an intracellular calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily characterized by a structural motif described as the EF-hand domain. The immunohistochemical detection of calretinin in developing cerebellum is restricted to the later stages indicated by weak staining from week 21 of gestation, in Purkinje and basket cells and in neurons of the dentate nucleus. The intensity of staining increases as the cerebellum matures. In tumors, calretinin has been detected in mesotheliomas and some pulmonary adenocarcinomas. |
| Reagent Appearance | Sterile Filtered clear solution. |
| Reconstitution | 1mg/ml in PBS (after reconstitution). |
| Stability | Store vial at -20°C to -80°C. When stored at the recommended temperature, this protein is stable for 12 months. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
| Synonyms | Calretinin, CR, Calb2, calbindin 2. |
