Background
Kallikrein-11 is a protein belongs to kallikrein family. KLK11 is mainly expressed in epithelial tissues, such as stomach, trachea, and skin, with high levels in the brain and the prostate. KLK11 has also been identified in many biological fluids.KLK11 has shown as a diagnostic biomarker for ovarian cancer. KLK11 cleaves ”bz-Phe-Arg-4-methylcoumaryl-7-amide”, KLK11 is a kallikrein substrate, and weakly cleaves other substrates for kallikrein and trypsin. KLK11 cleaves synthetic peptides after arginine rather than lysine residues.
