Description
Background
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A (TNFRSF1A) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNFRSF1A gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, which also contains TNFRSF1B. The TNFR1 gene is mapped to 12pter-cen. it encodes a protein of 455 amino acids. This receptor can activate the transcription factor NF-κB, mediate apoptosis, and function as a regulator of inflammation.
