| Protein Background | Rab2B is a member of the small GTPase superfamily, whose members are nontransforming monomeric GTP-binding proteins of the Ras superfamily and contain 4 highly conserved regions involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis. Rab proteins are prenylated, membrane-bound proteins engaged in vesicular fusion and trafficking. |
