Description

Data Sheet

Antibody Properties Reconstitute with of H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
Applications CD29 antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 ~ 1,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:500.
Available Conjugates Staining antibody, weakly cytotoxic. For staining, use 10ul/1,000,000 cells. Titer for cytotoxicity should be determined by the investigator.
Clone Pk2D5AT.
Ig Subclass Mouse IgG1 heavy chain and light chain.
Immunogen Anti-human CD29 mAb is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human CD29 amino acids 34-141 purified from E. coli.
Immunological function This antibody is also available conjugated to FITC.
Protein Background Integrin beta 1, also known as CD29, is a 130 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that forms noncovalent complexes with various Integrin alpha subunits (including alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 4, alpha 5, and alpha 6, also known as CD49a, CD49b, CD49c, CD49d, CD49e, and CD49f, respectively) to form the functional receptors that bind to specific extracellular matrix proteins. Integrin receptors are involved in the regulation of a variety of important biological functions, including embryonic development, wound repair, hemostasis, and prevention of programmed cell death. They are also implicated in abnormal pathological states such as tumor directed angiogenesis, tumor cell growth, and metastasis. These heterodimeric receptors bridge the cytoplasmic actin cytoskeleton with proteins present in the extracellular matrix and/or on adjacent cells. The clustering of integrins on a cell surface leads to the formation of focal contacts. Interactions between integrins and the extracellular matrix l
