| Description | EIF1B Human Recombinant fused with a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 133 amino acids (1-113 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 15kDa. The EIF1B is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
| Expression host | Escherichia Coli. |
| Formulation | The EIF1B solution (1 mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer(pH 8.0), 10% glycerol, 2mM DTT and 0.1M NaCl. |
| Protein Background | EIF1B is critical for the scanning process in vitro. EIF1B is an element of a complex involved in recognition of the initiator codon during the scanning process. Translation is also initiated by the function of EIF1B in regulating the activity of ribosomal subunits 43S, 48S and 40S. EIF1B enables 43S ribosomal complexes to distinguish between cognate and near-cognate initiation codons, perceiving the nucleotide content of initiation codons. |
| Purity | Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Reagent Appearance | Sterile Filtered colorless solution. |
| Stability | EIF1B should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
| Synonyms | Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1b, eIF1b, Protein translation factor SUI1 homolog GC20, EIF1B, GC20. |
