| Protein Background | Hepatic leukemia factor (HLF) is a member of the bZIP family and the PAR (proline and acidic-rich) subfamily of transcription regulatory proteins. HLF binds DNA specifically as a homodimer or heterodimer with other PAR factors. HLF is highly expressed in the liver, with lower levels in the lung and kidney and functions as an effective trans-activator. |
