Description
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10D is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor does not induce apoptosis, and has been shown to play an inhibitory role in TRAIL-induced cell apoptosis. TRAILR4 shows a unique expression pattern in human tissues and is particularly abundant in fetal liver and adult testis. It has been demonstrated that TRAILR4 expression is directly regulated by p53 and attenuates cell response to DNA-damaging agents.
