| Protein Background | YEATS Domain Containing 4 (YEATS4) has a high sequence homology to the human MLLT1, and yeast and human MLLT3 proteins. MLLT1 and MLLT3 proteins, both belong to a group of transcription factors, which indicates that YEATS might also represent a transcription factor. YEATS is believed to be necessary for RNA transcription. The YEATS gene has been shown to be amplified in tumors. |
